Greetings folks… Jason here, it’s been a long time since Jen and I have podcasted and I thought I’d bring you up to speed a bit as to what we’ve been working on lately. Jen and I a few years ago started a twitter account called @OHatDL (Overheard at Disneyland) where people can submit things they overhear while at Disneyland to our twitter bot using the #ohatdl hashtag. After a while I thought I’d be a great idea to archive these “overheards” by starting a website of the same name: http://www.ohatdl.com we later launched @OHatWDW (Overheard at Walt Disney World) and a website to go along with it: http://www.ohatwdw.com . 5/25/2011 marks the day that @ohatdl had it’s 5000th follower which is pretty amazing concidering we don’t do any formal advertising.. kinda, we do have a full page ad in http://www.beatweek.com‘s magazine. We have 2500 posts on the website with right around 4000 submissions to the account(s) with some of which were of lesser quality and not “disney safe” for us to share on the website.

With Jen and I being as obsessed with Disneyland as we are (we live 12 miles away, you would too!) we needed an outlet to share our findings while at “The Park”. We started yet another website called Disney Day Trippers (http://www.disneydaytrippers.com) where we post about our “day trips” to Disneyland.

So that’s what we’ve been up to… follow us on twitter if you wanna day by day look at what Jason and Jen do

@jentucker

@jasontucker

So, will the podcast ever come back? If we did bring it back it wouldn’t be the same TuckerTales but you never know!

Jason and Jen of TuckerTales are proud users of the Firefox browser. Firefox is attempting to set a world record for downloads of their latest version of Firefox. Be a part of history and click on the link above and pledge to download Firefox 3 on June 17th 2008.

Join us in our mission to set a Guinness World Record for the most software downloaded in 24 hours!

Have you attempted to set a World Record with no luck? Well, now is your chance to change that! Help set a Guinness World Record by pledging to download Firefox 3 today. And, help spread the word! The official date for the launch of Firefox 3 is June 17, 2008. Join our community and this effort by pledging today.

Sounds like a good deal, right? All you have to do is get Firefox 3 during Download Day to help set the record for most software downloads in 24 hours – it’s that easy. We’re not asking you to swallow a sword or to balance 30 spoons on your face, although that would be kind of awesome.

Still using IE? Opera? Wanna try something new? Pledge you will download on June 17th and then be sure to do so on that day, we will!

I write to you from the Love Long and Prosper compound in the Phoenix area. After 5+ hours of driving yesterday we finally arrived and drove over to Dan and CJ’s place.

After some recovery time we headed over to the Mesa RiverView and ate at CrackerBarrel. After dinner we hopped on the highway and headed over to the Tempe Marketplace to Meetup with all of the social media / new media folks from around the area.

About 25 people showed up to the event and it was good to meet some new folks. Jen & CJ headed home early, I went over to the car with them to move our carseat to their car and when we came back EVERYONE WAS GONE! There was this concert going on at the marketplace so Dan, Ken and I went over to check that out. I think it was some cover band that was playing since I recognized the songs but I knew they were from different groups. We got a call from CJ stating that she read on twitter that everyone has moved to the Paradise Bakery. We headed over there to meetup with everyone and enjoy the rest of the evening.

Here are some photos from last night

Natahlee posted a great video of the event as well check it out below:

As for our next episode we’re going to do 2 of them. One will be a SoundScene style episode depecting our day at the magic kingdom. Yes, we’re one of those people that talk during the ride and well we had some funny stuff to say. Jason did a pretty nifty pdf he’s going to include in the feed with pictures of our trip with funny voice bubbles on them.
